Helvetica World, an update to the classic Helvetica design using the OpenType font format, contains the following Microsoft code pages: 1252 LaLatin 2 Eastern, 1251 Cyrillic, 1253 Greek, 1254 Turk, 1255 Hebrew, 1256 Arabic, 1257 Windows Baltic, 1258 Windows Vietnamese, as well as a mixture of box drawing element glyphs and mathematical symbols & operators. It is the quintessential sans serif font, timeless and neutral, and can be used for all types of communication. The Helvetica family now forms an integral part of many digital printers and operating systems and has become a stylistic anchor in our visual culture. Today, the original Helvetica family consists of 34 different font weights, and the Neue Helvetica family consists of 51 font weights. Stempel AG and Linotype re-designed and digitized Neue Helvetica and updated it into a cohesive font family.

Over the years, the Helvetica family was expanded to include many different weights, but these were not as well coordinated with each other as they might have been. Full name:Helvetica 75 Bold Outline,Helvetica 75 Bold Outline Font family:HelveticaNeue-BoldOutline Style: Version:Version 001.000. In 1960 the name was changed to Helvetica (an adaptation of "Helvetia", the Latin name for Switzerland). The original typeface was called Haas Grotesk, and was designed in 1957 by Max Miedinger for the Haas'sche Schriftgiesserei (Haas Type Foundry) in Switzerland. It lends an air of lucid efficiency to any typographic message with its clean, no-nonsense shapes.
The designation “55 roman” forms the central point. The basic font weight, “Helvetica roman”, is at the heart of this numbering system. The original numbering system for the weight designations came from the numbering of the Univers font. Today, this family consists of 51 different font weights. Stempel AG redesigned and digitized the “Neue Helvetica” typeface for Linotype and made it a self-contained font family. Over the years, Helvetica was expanded to include many different weights, but these were not coordinated with each other. The original letterforms of Helvetica had to be modified for the Linotype system. It forms an integral part of many printers and operating systems. This typeface, designed by Max Miedinger and other project members at the Haas’sche Schriftgiesserei, has become one of the most famous and popular typefaces in the world, thanks to the marketing strategy of Stempel and Linotype.
